I feel it once again and still it hits me like a train

I feel it once again and still it hits me like a train.

Who knows how I had held on
a good grip on the last minute
My eleventh hour has come at last
to save me, I’d think, but it’s just the station’s closing.

I felt it rushing like the river does toward gravity
All the words appear in bright fonts
Serious physics to my opening eyes
One idea after another after another and now still I don’t
know which way to go

I still don’t know which way to go except forward, toward
to hold onto this train, feeling the sharp breeze through my hair
I don’t know which way to do but now I’m off the platforms
This is the ride to the mystery ticket in my pocket.
I remember the dreams of yesterday like now.

I’ve got so many eyes yet one mind enclosed in one body
Many spirits aboard shouting with me
Let’s go, let’s go; where, I ask
You know, no where
I feel the motions yet in place I am frozen

In this moment, how do I move forward
I hold onto the rails like my life depends on them
Because maybe it does, I try to balance
still I feel that somehow I am close
Either to the next station or to learning to be on my toes
