Letters from the Hierophant, 0

It is a rainy afternoon in the forest on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Estrella. She has a cup of coffee warming one of her hands, while the other arm rests on a windowpane. The rain is strong outside but the drops on the ground fall gently as the effects of gravity is softened by the thick trees and their wide leaves. The woodworker’s cabin has quiet, peace, and innumerable books. In front of her is a wide table and on top of it are pieces of parchment, a pen, and dark ink. She takes a deep breath before she starts scribbling:

Estrella has always been known for its education. I am sure you know this already, which is why you write to me those many, many questions I will attempt to answer. It is a small kingdom with but small people whose minds are capable of encompassing almost all of the universe—its founders attempted to do so and wrote as preamble a reminder, or warning if you will, that the path to truth is infinite. The closer one gets to the truth, the farther the truth steps back. The truth is science and art combined, much like oil and water. Hence, the centre of Estrella is majika—magick, the only medium in which the incomprehensible is attempted to be comprehended; the symphony of science and art. Those who comprehend are the Arcana. They reside in the University, at exactly the centre of the kingdom. More than rulers they are the enlightened ones who have learned to transcend into the spiritual dimension enough for them to know how to guide a whole kingdom but remain with enough bearing on the tangible world. They rule, guide, and most importantly, teach.

Among them and beyond them is the Hierophant.

And that is your role, Janus. Listen to your dreams. You have been trying to ignore them… forget them for far too long. Answer the call while you still can. There are consequences to everything, including disregarding divine dreams. There will be more to the strayed path than simple regrets.

Be brave. You have all that you need.
