New fountain pen: Pilot Prera

My favorite local writing essentials shop, Scribe, went on sale recently. Just at the time that I had been feeling the need to expand the collection. And some new inks: red for editing and blue to mix with the black that I had been using with my Metropolitan. These days I’ve been wanting to write with lighter hues.

I chose a clear Pilot Prera for my main purchase and here are some Huji film app shots of the beauty:

I mixed the blue and black basic Pilot inks for this one and I’ve been using it to write my daily journals. The tip is so satisfyingly fine—scratchy but in a good way. However, I’ve been too used to the Metropolitan’s shape and weight that the Prera feels too small, even to my tiny hands. Still, it is quality-made; nothing less to expect from the finest, Pilot.

  1. I can’t imagine using anything smaller (actually it’s more slim than small) than the Metro! Wishing you a fun time with your new acquisition!

    1. Agree with more ‘slim’–I’ve always thought of the Metro as a small pen until the Prera happened. Hahaha. Thanks, Stuart! It’s been lovely so far!
