What do you do
that no one knew
or mentioned
no response
and surprising another,
I, the Evangelist,
left the night thinking
the way lives cast long shadows
God praying words that challenge the loving
but, correct
It’s a high privilege to play
the promise is to help us remember
that our lives are short,
for now
long after home
today, in the lives of others
